Internet Traffic Monitoring

Before you can browse the internet with ease and comfort, you need to install internet traffic monitoring tools in your computer. And why did we say so? You may not know it, but by just "innocently" purchasing something online, you can be putting your welfare and the life of your family in danger. Cyberthieves and their spywares are all over the internet, mind you. Who knows? You and you're family might be their next victims. But don't worry, majority of internet traffic monitoring tools are free and are readily available for download on the internet.

And this would be extra easier for you if you're a Windows user. You can try visiting NMTF tools (that's the first site that'll appear in your Google search). You can find all the basic internet traffic tools you need here.

If you're particularly more into downloading/uploading files on the internet, we recommend NetBalancer. With NetBalancer installed in your computer, you'll be able to browse internet comfortably even while your download manager or torrent client is downloading huge files. This Windows software can be used to set download/upload transfer rate priority for any applications and monitor their internet traffic.

Linux users also have a fair share of traffic monitoring freewares on the internet. One is MZL & Novatech Traffic Statistics Linux Server 1.2.0.0. This software, which is a freeware by the way (as we've already mentiones), delivers network usage data for Linux gateways. What's good about it is it generates from libpcap IP data record files containing network usage information in bytes broken down by host and service with a minute precision.

How can I connect to Xbox live if my school blocks it?
My school residence blocks most internet traffic including torrents and connections to xbox live and the playstation network. I would like to play online on my consoles. How can I easily do this? I was thinking about the possibility of using a proxy server to connect to, but I don't really know how to connect to on in the first place or what would be a good one for my xbox.
